Healthy Halloween Tricks for Treats

The month of October is best known for the celebration and preparation of Halloween. It's incredibly hard to not be surrounded by massive amounts of sugar, and we also want to look good in our costumes. If you're hosting or attending a party, here are some healthy yet festive snacks you can whip up.

Cute Clementine Pumpkins
Necessities: Clementines, Green Pipe Cleaners

Instructions: Use clementines or another variety of citrus that's shaped like a pumpkin. Oranges are too round. Peel the fruit, trim a green pipe cleaner down to the appropriate stem size, and place it inside the top of your clementine.

Banana Graveyard Ghosts
Necessities: Bananas, Black decorating icing, Peanut Butter, Chocolate Cookies

Instructions: Cut 3 bananas in half, and give them a spooky ghost face by using a tube of icing to apply the eyes and mouth. Place a small chunk of peanut butter at the bottom of the bananas to help keep them in place on the plate. For the graveyard dirt effect, crumble up some chocolate cookies and sprinkle the crumbs around the ghosts.
