Speedy Stress Relief

For those of you who get stressed easily,  Real Simple has shared a few 'Quick Ways to Relieve Stress' whether you're at work or at home.

When you're feeling jittery, get rid of the nervous tension by taking four steps while inhaling, and exhaling for another four steps.  Repeat this for about three minutes. You should work up to six to eight steps per inhale and exhale.

To recenter your mind and body, sit on the floor in a comfortable straight-back position. Inhale for 3 seconds, then smoothly exhale for three more. Repeat for at least 3 minutes.

(The cat-cow)
Sit straight in a chair and place both feet flat on the ground. Exhale while rounding your spine forward into a cow pose. Inhale as you arch your back into a cat pose. Repeat for five more breaths.

Inhale and extend your arms straight up. Stretch to the right as you exhale. Inhale to come back to the center, and then exhale to the left. Repeat for five more breaths.

With arms bent by your side, exhale and rotate your torso to the right. Inhale back to the center and twist to the left. Repeat for five more breaths.
